Visceral

about

Visceral is about the back and forth I experience between feeling hopeless and feeling endless. It’s the ups and downs, the emotional roller coaster that I’ve been riding within my mind. This song was my process of deciding which route I wanted to take on a mental and spiritual level. Would I continue to focus on the negative aspects of my life and what I do not like - or choose to rewire my brain and focus on what I’m grateful for and put energy towards what I want. Visceral is about me finally realizing that I am more than just this human form. I am a spirit, I can take myself to dimensions beyond what’s right in front of me. I can bring myself into euphoric bliss through creating music while in a meditative state. This song is that realization; it’s me breaking through years of self hatred and fear to realize that maybe I am indeed Visceral. Maybe I can be free from the clutches of my depression and anxiety, maybe I can be more than I thought I could be.

lyrics

V I S C E R A L

VERSE 1:
I fall to winter
Always the giver
More than before
Can you see I’m worn

I wanna be silver
My delicate whisper
More than you heard
I’m a fucked up girl

How many lies
How many times
I gotta be honest
How many lies
How many times
I wanna be on it
I wanna be on it

CHORUS:
Maybe I’m visceral
I’m so not physical
Embody
Embody
Maybe I’m visceral
Unconditional
Embody
Embody

VERSE 2:
So fair and brittle
Tender I flicker
Firm on the floor
Craving so much more

I’m shining like crystal
Not artificial
Gentle and warm
In ruthless storm

How many lies
How many times
I gotta be honest
How many lies
How many times
I wanna be on it
I wanna be on it

CHORUS:
Maybe I’m visceral
I’m so not physical
Embody
Embody
Maybe I’m visceral
Unconditional
Embody
Embody
