Sixth Sense

about

Do you ever feel like you’ve lost parts of your self that were once so readily available?  Before 2019 I felt like the world was this mysterious and magical place.  I was experiencing this awakening of my intuition, there were so many unexplainable synchronicities happening in my life.  I felt so positive that I was on the right path. I wrote songs like “Wide Awake” about this feeling of magic within me.  That feeling left me around 2019 when my thoughts became hyper focused on a relationship I was in. My hopeful thoughts were replaced with fearful ones.  I was afraid of loss, I was constantly yearning to be loved in a way that I wasn’t, and my thoughts become obsessive. All of my songs were about this feeling.  You can listen to Bloom and hear it.  Bloom was an expression of the deepest pain and loss I’ve experienced.  Sixth Sense however is the first song I’ve written in a years that isn’t about love and heart break.  It’s a breakthrough moment for me because it’s about myself and my intuition.  Sixth sense is about returning to my magic, listening to my intuition, and returning to a feeling of empowerment.   It’s a mantra or an affirmation.  Hear my call, I am enough, I touch the light, I feel my Sixth Sense.  When I wrote it, I looked up at the sky in the California mountains and looped this song feeling those words penetrate me.  I hope for those of you who might be feeling disconnected that you can take a moment to listen to this song while looking up at the sky and connect with your higher self.

lyrics

Verse one:

I’ve been fading ever further than I want to
In the silence all the color’s running from you

I don’t need a safe word
I just gotta stay far from you
Even when you move slow
I still gotta leave my body

CHORUS:

Hear my call
I am enough
I touch the light
I feel my sixth sense

Hear my call
I am enough
I touch the light
I feel my sixth sense

Verse two:

I’ve been using these illusions like I need to
It’s a solace I was seeking when I saw you

I don’t need a safe word
I just gotta stay far from you
Even when you move slow
I still gotta leave my body

CHORUS:

Hear my call
I am enough
I touch the light
I feel my sixth sense

Hear my call
I am enough
I touch the light
I feel my sixth sense
